Week 12: Doctrine and Covenants 27-28
In this week’s lesson, in learning about the armor of God we are reminded that protection isn’t a result of having just one piece of the armor, but in the cumulative effect of all of it together. Paragraph 7 of “The Family: A Proclamation to the World” lists many elements that contribute to a successful family. Striving to incorporate those elements into our families, whatever our circumstances, works to safeguard our loved ones in the the same way.
President M. Russell Ballard said: “There is not one great and grand thing we can do to arm ourselves spiritually. True spiritual power lies in numerous smaller acts woven together in a fabric of spiritual fortification that protects and shields from all evil” (“Be Strong in the Lord,” Ensign, July 2004, 8).
